HISTORY OF THE LIBRARY
The library of B. Borooah College began operating in 1943 at Kamrup Academy School. It later relocated to a new building in 1958 and eventually settled in its current location in 2000. Additionally, it was given a new name in honour of the college's 2nd Principal, the late Hem Barua, who was a prominent parliamentarian and education advocate in the country. The library is now known as the Hem Barua Library.
